J. Scott Gunn, Esq.
J. Scott Gunn was born in Muncie, Indiana and raised in South Florida. Scott grew up in the Fort Lauderdale area, attending high school at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale. Upon graduation from high school, Scott attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where he was awarded a B.A. in Economics in 1988. While attending Brown University, Scott participated in intercollegiate athletics, which helped him foster his team mentality that has been essential in the development of his law firm.
Upon graduation from Brown University, Scott attended Florida State University Law School where he secured his Juris Doctorate degree in 1991. Upon graduation, Scott had an opportunity to work in a family business. While working at Atlantic Molding, Inc., Scott was involved in the transactional legal elements of a commercial business atmosphere and acquired experience in the day-to-day operation of a multi-million dollar company.
Scott was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1993 and founded J. SCOTT GUNN, P.A. in 1994. Over the past 15 years, J. Scott Gunn P.A. has gradually grown in size from a one man, sole proprietorship to a multi-lawyer firm with permanent support staff and paralegals. Scott's close ties to the community have enabled him to establish a rapport with local businessmen and develop a solid reputation among clients that have contributed to the success of this law office.

Scott Gunn is married to Kary A. Gunn and has three daughters, Shauana age 18, Gillian age 9, Lindsay age 6 and a son Brandon age 3. Scott maintains his residence in Coral Springs, FLand has been a resident of South Florida for over 40 years.
Valerie Piermatti, Esq.
Valerie Piermatti was born in Paterson, New Jersey and raised in Voorhees, New Jersey. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she received a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 2005. Upon graduation from Temple University, Valerie worked in a group home as a Child Care Worker in Glassboro, New Jersey. Valerie moved to South Florida in 2006 to attend Nova Southeastern University, where she was awarded a Juris Doctorate Degree in 2009. While at Nova Southeastern, Valerie achieved honors, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Valerie also was an associate technical editor of the world-wide recognized ILSA, Journal of International and Comparative Law and was on the Board of the Student Bar initiative while at Nova Southeastern University. Valerie was admitted to the Florida bar in 2010 and is currently awaiting admission to the New Jersey State bar.
